

‘Rebecca’ musical to premiere in London
The English language adaptation of Rebecca, based on Daphne Du Maurier’s novel, will open at the Charing Cross Theatre in autumn 2023.
See the new musical, Rebecca, in London later this year. Rebecca begins previews at Charing Cross Theatre on 4 September, with an opening night on 18 September, and performances to 18 November.
The Rebecca musical is based on Daphne Du Maurier’s 1938 novel of the same name. When Maxim De Winter brings a new wife to his Cornish estate, the housekeeper Mrs. Danvers does all to remind the new woman of Rebecca’s presence.
Michael Kunze and Sylvester Levay’s Rebecca opened in Vienna in 2006. The upcoming production at Charing Cross Theatre marks the musical’s English language premiere.
Alejandro Bonatto directs, with design by Nicky Shaw, lighting design by David Seldes, and sound design by Andy Johnson.
