Richard II at Middle Temple Hall by Globe Theatre Apr 03

The Globe Theatre will present Shakespeare's The Tragedy of Richard II at the Middle Temple Hall, in the city of London, from 16 Apr to 4 May 03.

Postal Bookings are now open for Globe Theatre Friends Members (Tel: 020 7401 9919 to become a member).

The Globe Theatre performed "Twelfth Night" at the Hall last year.

The cast includes Mark Rylance as Richard II and Liam Brennan as Henry Bolingbroke

This production of Richard II, will be drawing from 16th century French and English Court Theatre plans: dress in hand made clothes, with live music, a dance, food and drink all researched from the original period. The audience will enter again via the actors' attiring chamber, with free 'cakes and ale' awaiting them.

The Middle Temple Hall (Seating 300), is one of the finest examples of an Elizabethan Hall in Britain. Despite sustaining damage during World War II, the look of the original hall - begun in 1562 and finished in 1573 - is largely unaltered to the present day.
