RSC'S "OTHELLO" EXTENDS TWO WEEKS TO 17 JULY 2004
The Royal Shakespeare company's production of Othello, has extended it's booking period by two weeks to 17 July 2004, this is before the play has even opened at the new Trafalgar Studios (Whitehall Theatre).
Starring Antony Sher as 'Iago' Othello, which transfers from Stratford-Upon-Avon, will open on 3 June 2004, following previews from 26 May and now booking to 17 July 2004.
Directed by Gregory Doran, The cast also includes Lisa Dillon, Charles Abomeli, Barry Aird, Nathalie Armin, JUstin Avoth, Ken Bones, Peter Bramhill, Vincent Brimble, Edward Clayton, Jonathan Duff, Viss Elliot, Amanda Harris, Mark Lockyer, Sello Maake Ka Ncube, Paul O'Mahony, Clifford Rose.
It is designed by Stephen Brimson Lewis, lighting by Tim Mitchell and sound by Martin Slavin.
Passed over for promotion within the Venetian army, Iago's twisted yet ingenious plot sets in motion a chain of events that will destroy the lives of his general, Othello, Othello's faithful wife Desdemona and ultimately himself in this tale of political and sexual jealousy.
