After the Almeida Theatre opened its doors earlier this week, six more productions have been confirmed at the off-West End venue. They include Saoirse Ronan making her UK stage debut, the return of Hymn, as well as a revival of Spring Awakening.

Miranda Cromwell will direct David Jonsson in the world premiere of Yomi Sode's and breathe... from 16 June - 10 July. and breathe... is a stage adaptation of poems from Sode's upcoming collection, Manorism.

Following livestreamed performances of Lolita Chakrabarti's Hymn earlier this year, the production will now be staged in front of an audience. Adrian Lester and Danny Sapani will reprise their roles, with Blanche McIntyre directing. In a review for LondonTheatre.co.uk, Matt Wolf said: "one could actually imagine Hymn teased out into something longer, and the writing turns prosaic just when you want it to soar - both actors are remarkable." Hymn is at the Almeida Theatre from 23 July - 14 August.

In August, the world premiere of Once Upon a Time in Nazi Occupied Tunisia by Josh Azouz will be at the Almeida Theatre. Eleanor Rhodes directs the World War Two drama, set four months into the Nazi occupation. Once Upon a Time in Nazi Occupied Tunisia is at the Almeida Theatre from 21 August - 18 September.

The four-time Academy Award-nominated Saoirse Ronan will make her UK stage debut in William Shakespeare's The Tragedy of Macbeth, directed by Yaël Farber. Ronan's film credits include Little Women, Mary Queen of Scots and Lady Bird. James McArdle will join Ronan, with performances from 2 October - 27 November. It has also been announced that The Tragedy of Macbeth will be available to livestream from 27 - 30 October.

The full cast for The Tragedy of Macbeth is completed by Michael Abubakar, Ross Anderson, Aoife Burke, Emun Elliott, Annie Firbank, William Gaunt, Akiya Henry, Maureen Hibbert, Reuben Joseph, Gareth Kennerley, Valerie Lilley, Adam McNamara, Richard Rankin, Myles Grant, Jamie-Lee Martin, Henry Meredith, Dereke Oladele, Emet Yah Khai and K-ets Yah Khai.

Rupert Goold will direct the first London revival of Spring Awakening. Amara Okereke and Laurie Kynaston play Wendla and Melchior respectively, with performances from 30 November - 22 January.

In 2022, a new collection of plays titled The Key Workers Cycle will be performed. The new works will celebrate those who kept their communities going during the pandemic, performed by professional actors and local key workers. The Key Workers is from 28 Jan - 5. Feb. 2022.

The previously postponed production of Jeremy Harris' Daddy will now be staged in 2022.
