Saucy Jack and the Space Vixens to close 4 Feb

The cult sci-fi comedy musical Saucy Jack and the Space Vixens, will close early on 4 Feb 2006 . (It was originally booking to 18 Feb 2006).

The show opened at The Venue in Leicester Square 6 Dec 2005, following previews from 24 Nov 2005.

This brand new production stars pop diva Faye Tozer (formerly of STEPS) who makes her West End debut playing Space Vixen, Jubilee Climax. New cosmic choreography is by the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing's popular panellist, Bruno Tonioli.

Saucy Jack and the Space Vixens was first performed ten years ago at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival where it was an instant success. The show's development led, via a West End Season at the Queen's Theatre in 1998, to a home in a club under the arches at London Bridge where for two years a galaxy of theatregoers popped on plastic, grabbed their glitterboots and slapped on the sequins - creating a cult classic.

It has book by Charlotte Mann, Lyrics by Charlotte Mann and Michael Fidler, music by Jonathan Croose and Robin Forrest. Based on original ideas by Johanna Allitt, Simon Curtis, Michael Fidler and Charlotte Mann.

It is directed by Michael Fidler, designed by Liz Cooke, lighting by Hansjorg Schmidt, Sound by Mike Walker, produced by TWF Theatrical Productions.

The cast also features Scott Baker (Saucy Jack ), Mark Carroll (Willhelm von Whackoff), Paul Christopher (Mitch Maypole), Carl Mullaney (Booby Shevalle ), Joel Karie (Sammy Sacks), , Carmen Cusack (Chesty Prospects), Melitsa Nicola (Bunny Lingus), Gemma Zirfas (Anna Labia).

In the dark reaches of the planet Frottage 3, at Saucy Jack's cabaret bar, the evil shadow of the Slingback Killer looms. Cabaret artistes are being picked off one by one - the heel of a sequinned slingback plunged into their youthful chests. Will the Space Vixens arrive in time to halt the blood-lust and save the day by the Power of Disco?
