Simon Russell Beale, Rupert Everett, and more to star in Donmar Warehouse new season

The King’s Ransom will be followed by a revival of Harold Pinter’s No Man’s Land, directed by Patrick Marber and starring Simon Russell Beale, Rupert Everett, Olivier Huband, and Jay Simpson.

Further programming has been announced for the Donmar Warehouse's 2026/27 season, including a world premiere and a major revival.

Bruntwood Prize-winning playwright Stuart Slade will bring his new play The King’s Ransom to the Donmar from 5 December to 6 February 2027. Directed by Matthew Dunster, the dark comedy is inspired by one of the strangest crime stories in American history – the plot to steal Elvis Presley's corpse.

The King’s Ransom will be followed by a revival of Harold Pinter’s No Man’s Land, directed by Patrick Marber. Simon Russell Beale, Rupert Everett, Olivier Huband, and Jay Simpson will star in Pinter's play about two aging writers (Hirst and Spooner), who meet, drink, and share elaborate memories, only to be interrupted by Hirst's sinister live-in assistants. The show will run from 13 February to 10 April 2027.

Also announced is the full company for the world premiere of Danny Lee Wynter’s Ilford Boy, which runs at the venue from 10 October to 28 November. Donmar Artistic Director Tim Sheader directs Lindsey Coulson (Eileen), Cary Crankson (Trevor), Gershwyn Eustache Jnr (Ken), Aaron Gill (Raj), Charlotte Jaconelli (Ann), Sinead Matthews (Jackie), Craig Stein (Patrick), Leo Whitfield-Harris (Ted), and Ria Zmitrowicz (Tillie).

We know Matthew Dunster is going to thrill audiences over the festive season with Stuart Slade’s new play The King’s Ransom based on an outrageous and hilarious true crime story. And in 2027 we look forward to welcoming Patrick Marber back to the Donmar to direct Harold Pinter's masterpiece No Man's Land with Simon Russell Beale, and Rupert Everett making his Donmar debut. And we are also so pleased to be able to announce today the cast for Danny Lee Wynter's Ilford Boy. We look forward to welcoming audiences this Autumn and Winter to experience these productions in our powerfully intimate space.”
