‘Songs for a New World’ to be streamed online with new cast

Ramin Karimloo joins the production this February.

After limited performances at the London Palladium in 2020, Songs for a New World was due to to transfer to the Vaudeville Theatre this month. Sadly, the Songs for a New World West End run has been cancelled but the musical will go back online from 21 - 28 February.

The cast will include Rachel John, Rachel Tucker and Cedric Neal, who all reprise their performances. For this production, Ramin Karimloo joins the cast, whose West End credits include The Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables and Murder Ballad.

Created by Jason Robert Brown, Songs for a New World follows a multitude of characters all hoping for a better world. The musical is presented as a series of vignettes, transporting viewers through time and space.

Songs for a New World has been filmed in isolation, in accordance with social distancing guidelines. Séimí Campbell directs, along with music supervision by Adam Hoskins and musical direction by Josh Winstone.
