Susan McFadden 'Elle Woods' in Legally Blonde 10 Jan

It is reported that Susan McFadden will take over the role of 'Elle Woods' from Sheridan Smith, on 10 Jan 2011, in Legally Blonde The Musical at the Savoy Theatre.

Susan McFadden, who currently stars as 'Serena' in the show, was the winner of ITV1's Grease is the Word, to star in the West End production of "Grease' at the Piccadilly Theatre in 2007.

Legally Blonde The Musical, opened at the Savoy Theatre 13 Jan 2010, following previews from 5 Dec 2009, to positive notices from the popular press press: Paul Taylor for The Independent says, "Totally blown away...it's ridiculously enjoyable from start to finish." Benedict Nightingale for The Times says, "Delightful, annoying, supremely wishful musical..." Henry Hitchings for The Evening Standard says, "It's energetic and amusing."

It has music and lyrics by Laurence O'Keefe and Nell Benjamin, book by Heather Hach. Orchestrations by Christopher Jahnke.
