The Glass Menagerie extends to 15 Jan 2011 at Young Vic

Tennessee Williams's The Glass Menagerie, has extended 2 weeks to 15 Jan 2011, at the Young Vic Theatre.

It opened 17 Nov 2010, following previews from 11 Nov, to good notices from the popular press: "The heart of Williams's play is exactly caught." (Guardian); "Sensitive, beautifully pitched revival." (Financial Times); "You leave the theatre in no doubt that you have witnessed a deeply felt, beautifully judged production of a masterpiece." (Telegraph)

Deborah Findlay plays Amanda Wingfield, the cast also includes Sinead Matthews, Leo Bill, Kyle Soller.

It is directed by Joe Hill-Gibbins, designed by Jeremy Herbert, lighting by James Farncombe.

Tom, a young would-be poet struggles to support his overbearing and sentimental mother and his delicate, obsessive sister.
