Tall Stories' production of The Gruffalo is set to return to the West End stage this summer, and will run throughout the summer holidays at the Lyric Theatre.

Celebrating 20 years since Julia Donaldson's children's book, illustrated by Axel Scheffer, was first published, the theatre adaptation returns to the stage for a ten-week season at the Lyric from 3rd July to 8th September.

The Gruffalo follows the story of a daring mouse who sets out on an adventure in a wood where it crosses paths with a fox, an owl, a snake and a terrifying Gruffalo - if such a creature actually exists.

Directed by Toby Mitchell, the cast of the production includes Jake Addley, Rebecca Newman, Elliot Rodriguez and Ashley Sean-Cook.

Suitable for children aged three and up, performances run weekday and weekend, with morning and matinee daytime performances under the West End production of Thriller Live.

Since its first publication, The Gruffalo has been voted "best bedtime story" by Radio 2 listeners, topped lists of children's favourite books, and has sold over 13 million copies worldwide having been translated into more than 30 languages.

The Gruffalo is at the Lyric Theatre from 3rd July to 8th September.
