The St James Theatre's revival of Jason Robert Brown's musical The Last Five Years has extended booking at the London fringe venue by one week due to popular demand. The show, which is currently in previews and opens officially on 2 November 2016, is now booking to 3 December 2016.

Written and directed by Jason Robert Brown, the production stars Samantha Barks and Jonathan Bailey as lovers Jamie and Cathy whose story is told from alternative perspectives. With musical direction by Torquil Munro, it is produced by Hilary and Stuart Williams in association with Paul Taylor-Mills.

Three-time Tony Award-winning composer-lyricist Jason Robert Brown's major musicals include Honeymoon In Vegas, The Bridges of Madison County and 13, all of which played on Broadway. In London his musicals Songs for a New World, 13 and Parade have all been produced at various venues including the Donmar Warehouse and the St James Theatre.

The Last Five Years premiered Off-Broadway in 2002, where it won the Drama Desk Award for Music and Lyrics. It premiered in London in 2006 at the Menier Chocolate Factory and was adapted into a film in 2014 starring Anna Kendrick and Jeremy Jordan. This revival was originally seen off-Broadway at New York's Second Stage Theatre in 2013.
