THE WOMAN BEFORE by Roland Schimmelpfennig, translated by David Tushingham , opens 17 May 2005, following previews from 12 May, and booking to 18 June 2005. It is directed by Richard Wilson , designed by Mark Thompson, lighting by Johanna Town. Frank doesn't recognise the woman at the door. She's come to remind him of a promise made twenty years before. She tells his wife, 'Frank and I were lovers, and still are'.


TALKING TO TERRORISTS by Robin Soans , opens 4 July 2005, following previews from 30 June, and booking to 30 July 2005. Starring Chipo Chung, Christopher Ettridge, Alexander Hanson, Lloyd Hutchinson, Catherine Russel, Christopher Ryman, June Watson. It is directed by Max Stafford-Clark and designed by Jonathan Fensom, with lighting by Johanna Town . 'I looked round the room, and I thought, I'm the only person in this room that hasn't killed anyone.' I think talking to terrorists is the only way to beat them. I can't understand why Tony didn't understand that.' To find out what makes ordinary people do extreme things, the writer, director and actors interviewed those from around the world who have been affected by or involved in terrorism. This play is about their experiences. From peacemakers, journalists and hostages to those who crossed the line these are their stories.

INCOMPLETE AND RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS by David Eldridge , opens 9 May 2005 , following previews from 6 May, and booking to 28 May 2005. Starring Kellie Bright, Keir Charles, Shaun Dingwall, Tom Georgeson, Diane Parish, Heshima Thompson It is directed by Sean Holmes, designed by Anthony Lamble, with lighting by Paul Anderson. Joey's an ordinary man but everywhere he looks people are slipping away. A notice at work catches his eye. He doesn't know where to go next - his Dad, the community or Marvin Gaye. In a world he can't connect with is there some one out there who can connect with Joey?

WAY TO HEAVEN by Juan Mayorga , translated by David Johnston , opens 20 June 2005 , following previews from 16 June , and booking to 9 July 2005. Directed by Ramin Gray. The heart of Europe. 1942. Children playing, lovers' tiffs, a deserted train station and a ramp rising towards a hangar. This is what you can see, but what should the Red Cross representative report say?

AMID THE CLOUDS by Amir Reza Koohestani , translated by Vali Mahlouji. opens 14 July 2005 , following previews from 13 July , and booking to 23 July 2005. Starring Shiva Fallahi, Hassan Madjooni . Directed by Amir Reza Koohestani. From the waters of the Ghara Ghaj to the English Channel, Imour remembers one image: being breast fed by his mother. That was the last time he saw her. Now, he just wants to get to England. (Performed in Farsi with English surtitles)
