Toby Stephens to star in 'Equus' at the Menier Chocolate Factory

Toby Stephens plays Dr. Martin Dysart in Shaffer’s play about a 17-year-old boy, who has a pathological religious fascination with horses, and the psychiatrist who tries to find a cure.

Toby Stephens will star in Lindsay Posner’s major revival of Peter Shaffer’s Equus, which begins performances at the Menier Chocolate Factory in London on 8 May, running through 27 June.

Toby Stephens plays Dr. Martin Dysart in Shaffer’s play about a 17-year-old boy, who has a pathological religious fascination with horses, and the psychiatrist who tries to find a cure. Stephens's credits include Wendy and Peter Pan, Hamlet, A Day in the Death of Joe Egg, Oslo, and Private Lives.

The rest of the creative team includes Paul Farnsworth (Set and Costume Design); Paul Pyant (Lighting Design); Adam Cork (Composer and Sound Design); and James Cousins (Movement Director).
