
Tyrone Huntley, Desmonda Cathabel, David Thaxton join 'Jesus Christ Superstar' at the Palladium
The musical follows the events of the last days of the life of Jesus Christ, as seen through the eyes of Judas.

Further casting has been revealed for Jesus Christ Superstar at The London Palladium this summer. Performances will run from 20 June to 5 September.
Already announced are Sam Ryder as Jesus and six performers sharing the role of King Herod: Jesse Tyler Ferguson (20 Jun – 11 Jul); Simon Russell Beale (13 – 25 Jul); Richard Armitage (27 Jul – 1 Aug); Boy George (3 – 15 Aug, except 8 Aug); Layton Williams (17 – 29 Aug); and Julian Clary (31 Aug – 5 Sep).
Joining the company are Tyrone Huntley as Judas Iscariot (for which he previously received an Olivier Award nomination), Desmonda Cathabel (Hadestown) as Mary Magdalene, and David Thaxton (Sunset Boulevard) returning to the role of Pontius Pilate.
The Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber musical is directed by Tim Sheader, with choreography by Olivier Award winner Drew McOnie and design by Tony and Olivier Award winner Tom Scutt. The production reunites the creative team of the 2016 production.
The musical follows the events of the last days of the life of Jesus Christ, as seen through the eyes of Judas, with a score that includes "I Don’t Know How to Love Him", "Gethsemane", and the title number "Superstar".
The rest of the creative team includes musical supervisor Tom Deering, lighting designer Lee Curran, sound designer Adam Fisher, and fight director Kate Waters.
