A contemporary and dark morality tale of unravelling characters and complex relationships, as a wife awaits the verdict of an appeal against her husband's conviction for murder. As Annie awaits the verdict of her Husband's appeal, she draws closer to Rachel, a journalist, in an attempt to get her story out. Meanwhile, Annie's husband Martin is pulled deeper into a damaging relationship with Jean Cunningham, a prostitute for whom time is running out. As each character seeks to define a life on their own terms, the structures of their existences gradually begin to crumble, catalysed by the mind games played amongst them.
