The cast of the new West End revival of 42nd Street performed this week live on BBC's The One Show, showing off their spectacular title number "42nd Street" along with a section of the opening "Audition" and an interview with cast members, including Sheena Easton.

42nd Street begins previews at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane on 20 March ahead of an official opening on 4 April 2017.

The fifty-strong company displayed choreographer Randy Skinner's incredible routines to a fantastic score of Broadway standards including "We're In The Money", "Lullaby of Broadway", "Shuffle Off To Buffalo", "Dames", "I Only Have Eyes For You", and "42nd Street".

Written by Harry Warren and Al Dubin, with book by Michael Stewart and Mark Bramble 42nd Street tells the rags-to-riches backstage fable of Peggy Sawyer who fights her way into the chorus and ends up the star of producer Julian Marsh's latest hit musical. This brand new revival is directed by Mark Bramble and produced by Michael Linnit & Michael Grade for Gate Ventures PLC, bringing the iconic Broadway hit back to its original London home at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane.

Grammy Award winning artist Sheena Easton makes her West End debut in the role of Dorothy Brock, alongside Tom Lister as Julian Marsh, Clare Halse as Peggy Sawyer, Jasna Ivir as Maggie Jones, Norman Bowman as Pat Denning, Stuart Neal as Billy Lawlor, Graeme Henderson as Andy Lee, Christopher Howell as Bert Barry, Bruce Montague as Abner Dillon, Mark McKerracher as Mac/Doc/Thug and Emma Caffrey as Annie.

Watch Tom Lister and cast perform the title number from 42nd Street.

42nd Street tickets are now on sale.
