Waterloo East Theatre First season programme

Waterloo East Theatre, a brand new fringe theatre under the railway arches at Waterloo East, has announced its First season programme.

TOM CREAN - ANTARCTIC EXPLORER, written and performed by Aidan Dooley, 2 to 4 Sep 2010. A one-man show. The life-story of Tom Crean, intrepid Antarctic explorer and one of Ireland's unsung heroes. Crean was one of the few men to survive three iconic expeditions: Discovery, Terra Nova and Endurance - and served with both Scott and Shackleton. His story is a testament of human fortitude against the elements.

SUNSET BITCH, musical comedy starring Jessica Martin as Veronique Raymond, 8 to 26 Sep 2010. One-woman show . She shares her journey from rags to riches (and back again), and with a little help from her showbiz pals we discover why she became the Sunset Bitch.

DEPARTURE LOUNGE, a musical comedy by Dougal Irvine, 28 Sep to 31 Oct 2010. Delayed at Malaga Airport after a week in the sun to celebrate their graduation from school, four less-than-innocent 18 year olds caught between adolescence and adulthood reminisce about their time together. It soon becomes clear that their individual memories of the holiday are at odds, particularly when it comes to romance and the girl on all their minds.... Is she as innocent as we're lead to think and will the boys friendships hold firm as they all face a coming of age?

BEING SELLERS, a comedy by Carl Caulfield , 2 to 19 Nov 2010. Starring David Boyle. Peter Sellers was celebrated for his ability to transform himself completely into his characters - from Chief Inspector Clouseau to Doctor Strangelove - but who was he and what was the personal cost of his comic genius? The show brings to life a wealth of memorable characters to unmask a tortured Goon
