‘We Need A Little Christmas’ charity concert to be staged at Actors’ Church

The concert will be available to watch in late December, raising money for Shelter and Crisis at Christmas.

Adding to the list of Christmas concerts taking place in London this December, We Need A Little Christmas will be filmed at the Actors' Church. Denise Welch will host the event, available to watch via stream.theatre from 20 December - 1 Jan. 2021.

Actors taking part include Brian Conley and the cast of A Christmas Carol, who will be performing at the Dominion Theatre over the Christmas period. David Bedella and Cassidy Janson will also sing, both winning Olivier Awards for their performances in & Juliet at the Shaftesbury Theatre.

There'll also be appearances from Death Drop's Courtney Act, Six's Sophie Isaacs and RuPaul's Drag Race winner The Vivienne, who makes their West End debut at the Apollo Theatre.

The line-up includes Dame Maureen Lipman, Christine Allado, Simon Callow, Kevin Clifton, Brenda Edwards, Sheila Ferguson, Amy Hart, Dom Hartley-Harris, Lydia Lucy, Lee Mead, Peter Polycarpou, Jodie Prenger, Sharon Rose, Sally Ann Triplett and the West End Gospel Choir.

A portion of each ticket sold for We Need A Little Christmas will be split between two charities: Shelter and Crisis at Christmas. Ahead of the concerts, producers Thomas Hopkins and Michael Quinn said: " This show not only allows usto raise money once again for two charities greatly in need of direct support, but also will allow us to create a show that gives us the opportunity to employ freelancers and to create what we hope will be a very magical event this festive season."
