Shakespeare Tonight

Shakespeare Tonight

This fast - paced comedy poses the question of what sort of man Shakespeare would be if he were living and writing today. Tom Stoppard? Russell Brand? A genius, an outsider, or just ‘Bill’? With The Bard a primetime guest on Tonight’s The Night, host Martina Fleur gets to ask the pivotal questions: Are the plays really his? What’s his true relationship with Anne? Why, after years of comedies and romances, has he suddenly turned to tragedy? When erstwhile rival Sir Francis Bacon appears as Martina’s second guest, William’s only choice is to tell the truth.
