
Hugh Bonneville will star in Shadowlands at the Aldwych Theatre in the West End in 2026. He previously starred in the production at Chichester Festival Theatre in 2019.
Bonneville is best known for his screen roles in the Paddington film series, Downton Abbey, and Notting Hill.
On stage, he has performed with the Royal Shakespeare Company in The Alchemist and The Two Gentlemen of Verona, as well as in Habeas Corpus at the Donmar Warehouse, King Lear at the Old Vic, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre.
Bonneville is a patron of the National Youth Theatre.
