A View From The Bridge to start one day earlier

The Young Vic's production of A View From The Bridge, by Arthur Miller, has announced that it will start one day earlier than previously planned, at the Wyndham's Theatre. The play will now start previews from 10 February 2015, and will officially open on 16 February 2015, for a two-month limited run until 11 April 2015. The production is also making available 5,000 on stage seats, which have gone on sale today.

Directed by Ivo Van Hove, set design and lighting by Jan Versweyveld, and costume design by An D'Huys. The cast features actors from the original production, including Mark Strong (Eddie Carbone), Emun Elliott (Marco), Phoebe Fox (Catherine), Michael Gould (Alfieri), Luke Norris (Rodolpho) and Nicola Walker (Beatrice).

Synopsis: "In Brooklyn, longshoreman Eddie Carbone welcomes his Sicilian cousins to the land of freedom. But when one of them falls for his beautiful niece, they discover that freedom comes at a price. Eddie's jealous mistrust exposes a deep, unspeakable secret - one that drives him to commit the ultimate betrayal."

The Young Vic is currently enjoying another West End transfer for its critically-acclaimed 2013 production of The Scottsboro Boys, running at the Garrick Theatre until 21 February 2015.
