Alyson Hannigan is to play opposite Luke Perry in the stage version of Nora Ephron's When Harry Met Sally, which opens at the Haymarket Theatre 20 Feb 04, following previews from 11 Feb 04 and booking to 29 May 04.

It is adapted for the stage by Marcy Kahan, with music by Jamie Cullum and Ben Cullum, and produced by James Tod, directed by Loveday Ingram and designed by Ultz.
Alyson Hannigan, who will play Sally, is best known as 'Willow Rosenberg' in the TV show Buffy The Vampire Slayer. She has also starred in the three Amercan Pie movies. The 29-year -old said "I am very excited and also terrified...I haven't done theatre since high school so I have a lot to learn, but it's always been a dream to go to London and do theatre." She added, "I am nervous about the orgasm scene because it's not every day you do that in front of 800 people."
Luke Perry, making his London stage debut as Harry, is the internationally known star of television's Beverly Hills 90210. Perry is currently shooting the new sci-fi television series, Jeremiah for Showtime, based on the popular comic book series of the same title. He recently completed shooting 10 episodes for HBO's series, OZ, in which he portrayed a new member of the prison population. Perry has also just finished two new films, The Enemy, a spy thriller opposite Roger Moore, and Fogbound, a pyscho-sexual thriller.
