"AUNTIE AND ME" WITH ALAN DAVIS AT WYNDHAM'S FROM 8 JAN 03

It is now confirmed that Morris Panych's black comedy Auntie and Me,will open at the Wyndham's Theatre on 14 Jan 03, following previews from 8 Jan 03 and booking to 26 Apr 03. (Tickets go on sale at the box office 11 Nov 02)

The two-hander will feature Comedian Alan Davis who starred in the show at this year's Edinburgh Fringe with Marcia Warren. It is not known yet if Marcia Warren will appear in the transfer because she is contracted to appear in the revival of "Arsenic and Old Lace" at the Strand on 14 Feb 02. But it is rumoured that she may appear for the first 4 weeks and then the part will be re-cast.

Alan Davis has appeared on the West End stage before in his stand-up routines as a Comedian. But this will be his first acting role on the West End Stage. His TV acting credits include "Jonathan Creek" and "Bob and Rose".

Directed by Anna Mackmin Alan Davis plays a nephew who turns up to see an aged aunt who is supposed to be in her final death throes and waits, and waits, for her die...
