A new film adaptation of Noel Coward's Blithe Spirit is available to watch today. Previously scheduled to be released in May 2020, the film was postponed due to the pandemic, but is now airing on Sky Cinema.

Based on Noel Coward's 1940s play, the film follows Madame Arcati, a clairvoyant hired by Charles Condomine, a writer to search for creative inspiration. While conducting a seance, Arcati conjures up the spirit of Charles' ex-wife, and a love triangle ensues.

Judi Dench plays Madame Arcati, whose recent stage credits during a career of over sixty years include The Vote at Donmar Warehouse and Peter and Alice at the Noel Coward Theatre.

Dan Stevens plays Charles Condomine, alongside Isla Fisher as Ruth Condomine, Leslie Mann as Elvira Condomine, Julian Rhind-Tutt as Dr. George Bradman and Emilia Fox as Violet Bradman.

Blithe Spirit was last seen at the Duke of York's Theatre in 2020, with Jennifer Saunders as Madame Arcati. The production was cut short due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Blithe Spirit is now available to watch on Sky Cinema. You can watch the trailer below.
