Booking now open for Calamity Jane with Toyah Willcox at Shaftesbury 12 Jun 03

Booking has now opened for the touring production of the musical comedy Calamity Jane, starring Toyah Willcox in the title role, which opens at the Shaftesbury Theatre 26 Jun 03, following previews from 12 Jun 03, and booking to 20 Sep 03.

The show is adapted for the stage by Charles K. Freeman, with music by Sammy Fain, lyrics by Paul Francis Webster.

It is directed by ED Curtis, designed by Simon Higlett, choreographed by Craig Revel Horwood, with lighting by James Whiteside.

"The film, starring Doris Day, was a classic from the golden age of the Hollywood Musical. Now, Calamity Jane hits the stage as an action-packed, rip-roaring comedy adventure round the Wild West with one of the most witty and hummable scores ever written for a musical."

Thee show features the famous songs: 'The Deadwood Stage (Whip-crack-Away!)', 'Windy City','The Black Hills of Dakota' and 'Secret Love'.
