EDIT: Louise Redknapp has since rejoined the cast of 9 to 5 the Musical in London, and is scheduled to play the part of Violet until 30th June.

Caroline Sheen is set to replace Louise Redknapp in the upcoming West End production of Dolly Parton musical 9 to 5 at the Savoy Theatre.

It was announced last week that Redknapp has had to withdraw from the production after sustaining an injury to her chin and a broken wrist after a nasty fall.

Redknapp will be replaced by Sheen, who will now play the role of Violet when performances begin at the Savoy Theatre on 28th January.

Sheen's theatre credits include playing the title role in UK and Us tours of Mary Poppins, being part of the original Mamma Mia musical cast as understudy Sophie, Truly Scrumptious in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at the London Palladium, Fantine in Les Miserables at the Palace Theatre, and the European premiere of The Light in the Piazza in Leicester.

She will join cast members Bonnie Langford, Brian Conley, Natalie McQueen and Amber Davies in rehearsals as she prepares to play Violet in the musical.

9 to 5 premiered on Broadway in 2009, and is based on the 1980 film of the same name which tells the story of three women who work in an office and plot to overthrow their sexist, egotistical boss. It features the songs "9 to 5", "Backwoods Barbie", "Get Out and Stay Out", and "Heart to Hart".

9 to 5 is at the Savoy Theatre from 28th January.

9 to 5 the Musical tickets are available now.
