Cast for Donmar's Lower Ninth at Trafalgar Studios 2

Casting has been announced for the Donmar Warehouse production of Lower Ninth, a new play by Beau Willimon, which opens at the Trafalgar Studios 2 Theatre, 4 Oct 2010, following previews from 30 Sep - running to 23 Oct 2010. Directed by Charlotte Westenra. Concerns the after-effects of Hurricane Katrina.

Richie Campbell plays E-Z. His London theatre credits include The Ones That Flutter (Theatre 503), Monster Under the Bed (Polka), Dirty Butterfly (Young Vic), 93.2FM (Royal Court). Ray Fearon plays Malcom. His London theatre work includes World Music (Donmar Warehouse), The Soldier's Fortune (Young Vic), Sing Yer Heart Out for the Lads (NT). Anthony Welsh plays Low Boy. His London theatre work includes Sucker Punch (Royal Court), Pornography (Tricycle) and The Brothers Size (Young Vic).

Lower Ninth is part of The Donmar Warehouse three-month residency at the Trafalgar Studios 2, which will allow it to showcase the work of graduates from its trainee director programme.

Following Lower Ninth are Novecento by Alessandro Baricco, directed by Roisin McBrinn, concerning a legendary jazz musician (28 Oct to 20 Nov 2010); and Les Parents Terribles by Jean Cocteau, translated by Jeremy Sams, directed by Chris Rolls, about a bohemian thirties Parisian household.
