Casting Update for "Skellig" at Young Vic from 21 Nov 03

Casting has been confirmed for the children's drama Skellig by David Almond, which opens at the Young Vic Theatre 3 Dec 03, following previews from 21 Nov 03, and booking to 31 Jan 04.

The cast includes: David Threlfall (Skellig), Kevin Wathen (Michael), Ashley Artus, Cathryn Bradshaw, Antony Byrne, Sarah Cattle, Noma Dumezwemi, Akiya Henry, William Osborne, Mo Zainai.

David Threlfall's London stage credits include "Blue/Orange" at the Duchess in 2001 and "Tartuffe" at the Lyttelton, NT in 2002.

Skellig is directed by Trevor Nunn, designed by John Napier, with lighting by Howard Harrison.

Michael has just moved into a new home with his family. The house is a mess, his parents are distracted and his brand new baby sister is seriously ill. Scrambling through a rickety garage at the back of the house, he discovers a strange crumpled character with a liking for leftover Chinese takeaways, spiders and Brown Ale. But there is something strange about Skellig as Michael soon finds out.
