David Auburn's Proof at the Tabard Theatre

Front Foot Theatre will present the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winning play Proof by David Auburn at the Tabard Theatre, a pub theatre in Chiswick, west London from 29 September to 24 October 2015 with an official opening on 30 September 2015.

The play ricochets between the mysteries of mathematics, the elusiveness of love and the fine line between genius and madness. It will be directed by Sebastien Blanc, with set design by Michael Leopold and lighting design by Ben Morrison.

The cast will include Tim Hardy (Robert), Julia Papp (Catherine), Mary-Ann Cafferkey (Claire) and Kim Hardy (Hal).

"Catherine has sacrificed her education and social life to care for her brilliant but unstable mathematician father. The return of her controlling sister and the flirtations of Hal, a former graduate student of her father's complicate matters when he discovers a ground breaking mathematical proof amongst Robert's incoherent scribbling. The struggle is on to find out who wrote it. As Catherine confronts Hal's affections and Claire's plans for her life, she struggles to solve the most perplexing problem of all: How much of her father's madness or genius will she inherit?"
