The cast joining Patti LuPone, Mel Giedroyc and Rosalie Craig in the upcoming West End production of Stephen Sondheim's Company at the Gielgud Theatre has been announced.

Marianne Elliot's production is unique in that it is the first that the writer has allowed the central role to be gender-swapped and played by a woman (Craig). The three characters that were originally Bobby's girlfriends will now also be gender-switched.

Richard Fleeshman (currently touring in The Last Ship), George Blagden (Tartuffe) and Matthew Seadon-Young (Big Fish) will play Andy, PJ and Theo respectively, known in the original piece as April, Marta and Kathy.

Ben Lewis, who currently plays the titular role in The Phantom of the Opera at Her Majesty's Theatre, will play Larry, married to Joanne, played by LuPone

Richard Henders (The Beaux Stratagem, The White Guard, National Theatre) plays David, and Jennifer Saayeng (Caroline, Or Change, Chichester) will play Jenny.

Gavin Spokes, who starred as the 'coughing major' Charles Ingram in James Graham's play Quiz, will play Harry, husband of Sarah, played by Giedroyc.

Ashley Campbell (Sunny Afternoon) will play Peter, married to Susan.

Company will have choreography by Liam Steel, designs by Bunny Christie, lighting by Neil Austin, and sound by Ian Dickinson.

Company is at the Gielgud Theatre from 26th September to 22nd December.

Company tickets are available now.
