Further casting has today been announced for the Menier Chocolate Factory's revival of She Loves Me which runs at the south London venue from 25 November 2016 to 4 March 2017, with an official opening on 7 December 2016.

Joining the previously announced Scarlett Strallen as Amalia Balash will be Alastair Brookshaw (Ladislav Sipos), Les Dennis (Mr Maraczek), Callum Howells (Arpad Laszlo), Katherine Kingsley (Ilona Ritter), Dominic Tighe (Steven Kodaly) and Mark Umbers (Georg Nowack), alongside Rachel Bingham, Peter Dukes, Luke Fetherston, Olivia Fines, Aimee Hodnett, Sarah-Marie Maxwell and Vincent Pirillo.

Featuring a book by Joe Masteroff, music by Jerry Bock and lyric by Sheldon Harnick, She Loves Me is based on a play by Miklos Laszlo. The show premiered on Broadway in 1963 and has enjoyed numerous revivals on Broadway as well as in London's West End. This new production will be directed by Matthew White with choreography by Rebecca Howell, designs by Paul Farnsworth, lighting design by Paul Pyant, sound design by Greg Clarke and orchestrations by Jason Carr.

"Meet Amalia and Georg, who work as clerks in Maraczek's Parfumerie - and aren't exactly the best of friends. However, they have something in common. They both rapturously write to romantic pen pals. Despite the anonymity of their secret admirers, they live for the love letters that they exchange and the day they will finally meet. This enduring love story has been the basis for the films The Shop around the Corner and You've Got Mail."

The musical, which is written by the same team behind musicals such as Fiorello! and Fiddler on the Roof, features a score of hit musical theatre songs including "Vanilla Ice Cream", "She Loves Me", "Ilona" "Twelve Days to Christmas" and "A Trip to the Library".

Katherine Kingsley's most recent musical theatre credits include The 25th Annual Putnum County Spelling Bee (Donmar Warehouse), Singin' in the Rain (Olivier Award nomination, Palace Theatre) and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (Savoy Theatre).

Les Dennis has starred in musicals such as Spamalot, Hairspray, Eurobeat, South Pacific, Chicago and Me and My Girl.

Mark Umbers returns to the Menier having previously starred in their productions of Merrily We Roll Along (also Harold Pinter Theatre) and Sweet Charity (also Theatre Royal Haymarket).
