It is rumoured that Godfather star AL PACINO, could  be the  next Hollywood heavyweight to hit the London stage. It is thought that Pacino  is planning his debut at The Old Vic theatre, where his acting pal Kevin Spacey now has a role in the administration as a consultant.  Al Pacino has starred many times on Broadway in plays by David Mamet, Eugene O'Neill and even Shakespeare.

It is rumoured that the  musical Napoleon, will close at the Shaftesbury Theatre in January next year  and be replaced by a touring production of The League of Gentlemen, based on the BAFTA award- winning television comedy series.  The last touring date of "The League of Gentlemen", is Cardiff where the show closes on 16th Dec 00.

A British touring production of a stage adaptation of The Diary of Anne Frank,  is expected to have a West End run soon. Originally produced on Broadway in 1997, the diary has been newly adapted by Wendy Kesselman. Based on the writings of a spirited, innocent young Jewish girl hiding with her family in Nazi-occupied Amsterdam, the play stars David De Keyser as Otto Frank and Lynn Farleighas Edith Frank.
