Lead casting has been announced for the upcoming London production of Bat Out of Hell the Musical which runs at the London Coliseum from 5 June to 22 July 2017.

Andrew Polec will star as Strat with Christina Bennington as Raven in the production which premieres at the Manchester Opera House ahead of the London run.

Directed by Jay Scheib, Bat Out of Hell the Musical is described as a romantic adventure about rebellious youth and passionate love against the backdrop of a post-cataclysmic city. The story follows Strat who sets his eyes on Falco's daughter, Raven. Locked away in the palace towers, he sets out to rescue her from her evil father's clutches in a full throttle tale of teenage love, youthful rebellion and living the rock and roll dream.

The adventure uses over 20 of Jim Steinman's songs, including "I'd Do Anything for Love (But I Won't Do That)," "You Took the Words Right Out of My Mouth," "Dead Ringer for Love," "It's all Coming Back to Me Now," "Two Out of Three Ain't Bad," and "Bat Out of Hell."

Andrew Polec is an American performer who recently starred in the developmental lab of the musical in New York City. His previous credits include the off-Broadway production of The Fantasticks, as well as The General from America, Where the Wild Things Are and A Christmas Carol.

Christina Bennington is currently appearing as Johanna in Derby Theatre and Mercury Theatre Colchester's co-production of Sweeney Todd. She was recently the cover Magnolia in Show Boat at the New London Theatre as well as the UK tours of The Smallest Show on Earth and Oklahoma!.
