‘Matilda’ extends West End booking period through May 2026

The award-winning musical based on Roald Dahl's seminal coming of age young adult novel extends releases new tickets in the West End through May 2026

Matilda and her gang of misfit kids have more to celebrate! Matilda will play an extended booking period at the Cambridge Theatre, with performances now scheduled through to 24 May 2026.

The Royal Shakespeare Company is thrilled to present the delightful musical for its 13th year in the West End. Angelica Scott has joined Anna Deikalo, Ava Posniak, and Sophia Saravanan in the title role.

Matilda: The Musical adds a few new faces to the company, including Tiffany Graves as Mrs Wormwood, Neil McDermott as Mr Wormwood, and Eve Norris as Miss Honey. Kieran Hill continues in the role of Miss Trunchbull.

Additionally, other young performers have joined the London company in the roles of Bruce, Lavender, Nigel and the rest of the pupils at Crunchem Hall: Elyza Alderton, Beatrice Armitage, Joseph Burrows, Maddy Collings, Sienna Culm, Pasquale Folivi AD, Joey Grady, Blake Graham, Alexandra Horner, Adam Hussain, George Jones, Amber Koduah-Hutchison, Tristan Marwa, Isabelle McLatchie, Anayah Thomas and Kobe Warmington.

The warm tale of resilience based on Roald Dahl's classic story features Matilda Wormwood, a child who discovers her supernatural powers in between her intense experiences at home and at school. In the classroom, she and her friends must face up against the diabolical headmistress, Miss Trunchbull. Matilda is written by Dennis Kelly, with music and lyrics by Tim Minchin.

The Olivier Award-winning musical and the powerful young girl at its center continue to shine brightly in the West End, with no signs of giving up.
