Natasha Barnes leads the cast of Cinderella in London Palladium's Pantomime

Funny Girl Natasha Barnes will play the role of Cinderella.

From Funny Girl to funny lady, it has been announced that Natasha Barnes will play the lead role of Cinderella in the upcoming London Palladium pantomime which runs at the iconic venue for a limited Christmas season from 9 December to 15 January 2017.

Barnes, who is currently the understudy for Sheridan Smith in Funny Girl at the Savoy Theatre, will be joined by Suzie Chard and Wendy Somerville as The Wicked Stepsisters, completing the all-star cast.

They join the previously announced Paul O'Grady (The Wicked Stepmother), Julian Clary (Dandini), Amanda Holden (The Fairy Godmother), Lee Mead (Prince Charming), Paul Zerdin (Buttons), Nigel Havers (Lord Chamberlain) and Count Arthur Strong (Baron Hardup).

Produced by Qdos Entertainment, the world's biggest pantomime producer, the production will be the first pantomime in the venue for more than three decades. It will be directed by Qdos Entertainment's managing director Michael Harrison, and the Olivier nominated choreographer Andrew Wright. The production will be designed by Ian Westbrook with costume designs for Paul O'Grady and Julian Clary by Hugh Durrant. Lighting design is by Ben Cracknell with projections by Duncan Mclean, sound by Gareth Owen, musical supervision and orchestration by Gary Hind and musical direction by Greg Arrowsmith.

Tickets for Cinderella at the London Palladium are now on sale.
