New West End cast of Wicked from July 2018 announced

A new West End cast of Wicked has been announced, following the news that EastEnders actor David Witts would be joining the cast as Fiyero.

Alice Fearn and Sophie Evans will continue in the roles of Elphaba and Glinda after they assumed the parts in July last year.

Chris Jarman, who played Hagrid and the Sorting Hat in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, will join the cast to take on the role of Doctor Dillamond, replacing original cast member Martin Ball who returned to the show in 2016.

Rosa O'Reilly, who joined Wicked in 2016 and has played Nessarose at seeral performances, will take on the role full time.

The new cast will begin performances at the Apollo Victoria Theatre on 23rd July 2018.

The confirmed full cast of Wicked will also include Melanie La Barrie (Madame Morrible), Andy Hockley (The Wizard), Jack Lansbury (Boq), Laura, Carina Gillespie,  Maria Coyne, Jennie Abbotts, Meg Astin, Rebecca Botterill, Nicole Carlisle, Conor Crown, Jonathan David Dudley, Lewis Easter, Kerry Enright, Aimée Fisher, André Fabien Francis, Chris George, Tom Andrew Hargreaves, Maggie Lynne, Carl Man, Rhidian Marc, James McHugh, Ellie Mitchell, Sam Robinson, Scott Sutcliffe, Genevieve Taylor, Paulo Teixeira, Samantha Thomas, Libby Watts, Bryony Whitfield, Chiarina Woodall and Tom Woollaston.

Stephen Schwartz's musical Wicked opened in the West End in 2006, and is currently the 14th longest-running show in the history of West End theatre.

Wicked is booking at the Apollo Victoria Theatre until 25th May 2019
