Nicholas Lyndhurst and Cassidy Janson join West End cast of Man of La Mancha

Further casting has been announced for the upcoming production of Man of La Mancha at the London Coliseum.

Inspired by the seventeenth-century novel titled Don QuixoteMan of La Mancha follows the story of Miguel de Cervantes as he transforms himself from a Spanish writer in jail to Alonso Quijano, a knight who wishes to serve his country, travelling with his sidekick Sancho Panza along the way.

Nicholas Lyndhurst will play the roles of the Innkeeper and the Captain. Best known for starring in Only Fools and Horses as Rodney Trotter, Lyndhurst has appeared in West End productions including Carousel at the London Coliseum and The Tempest at Theatre Royal Haymarket.

Cassidy Janson will share the role of Aldonza and Dulcinea with Danielle de Niese, performing the role on selected performances. Her recent stage credits include the lead role of Carole King in Beautiful: The Carole King Musical at the Aldwych Theatre and Dessa Rose at Trafalgar Studios, as well as recording a musical theatre album with Amber Riley and Beverley Knight.

Lyndhurst and Janson join the previously announced cast including Kelsey Grammer as Don Quixote and Danielle de Niese as Aldonza and Dulcinea.

Further casting is to be announced.

Man of La Mancha is at the London Coliseum from 26th April.
