Open auditions announced for Bat Out of Hell West End run in 2018
Details were posted on Twitter by Will Burton, an associate casting director of the musical, and reveal that auditions will take place on Monday 20th November 2017 at Pineapple Dance Studios on Langley Street in London.
The advert states that candidates must be available for a one year West End contract from February 2018. Dates and a venue for the return of the musical, which opened at the London Coliseum in June, are yet to be announced.
Producers state they are looking for performers with ‘outstanding vocal ability’ and an ‘authentic rock sound’. The call goes on to say candidates shouldn’t ‘over estimate… vocal ability or appropriateness’.
Registration for auditions will take place between 9.30am and 12pm on the day, with auditions taking place between 10am and 6pm. Performers willing to try their luck should prepare 2 rock numbers (with sheet music) showcasing their ‘range and stamina’, as well as a CV and headshot. Recalls will take place during the same week.
