Producers of the Jim Steinman musical Bat Out of Hell have announced details of open auditions for the anticipated 2018 run in the West End

Details were posted on Twitter by Will Burton, an associate casting director of the musical, and reveal that auditions will take place on Monday 20th November 2017 at Pineapple Dance Studios on Langley Street in London.

The advert states that candidates must be available for a one year West End contract from February 2018. Dates and a venue for the return of the musical, which opened at the London Coliseum in June, are yet to be announced

Producers state they are looking for performers with 'outstanding vocal ability' and an 'authentic rock sound'. The call goes on to say candidates shouldn't 'over estimate... vocal ability or appropriateness'.

Registration for auditions will take place between 9.30am and 12pm on the day, with auditions taking place between 10am and 6pm. Performers willing to try their luck should prepare 2 rock numbers (with sheet music) showcasing their 'range and stamina', as well as a CV and headshot. Recalls will take place during the same week.

Jim Steinman's musical ran at the London Coliseum from 5th June to 22nd August 2017, and features the hit songs performed by rock legend Meat Loaf across the 'Bat Out of Hell' album trilogy. It features the songs "Bat Out of Hell", "Paradise by the Dashboard Light", and "I'd Do Anything For Love".

Bat Out of Hell will run in the West End in 2018.
