Participants announced for The 24 Hour Plays Celebrity Gala, at the Old Vic on Sun 11 Nov 2007

Participants are confirmed for the Old Vic's annual theatrical challenge, The 24 Hour Plays Celebrity Gala, on Sunday 11 November 2007

Actors include Ronni Ancona, Rob Brydon, Stephen Campbell Moore, Kwame Kwei-Armah, Ralf Little, Stephen Mangan, Fiona Shaw, Christian Slater, Sharon Small and Sam West.

The directors include Wilson Milam, Anna Mackmin, Josie Rourke and Matt Wilde and the writing team includes Bryony Lavery, Nina and Moses Raine and Laura Wade.

The Old Vic's Artistic Director, Kevin Spacey, will introduce the show, and the special celebrity host will be Ronnie Corbett. Further names to be announced.

The star-studded Celebrity Gala is a yearly fund-raiser and has become one of the highlights of The Old Vic's season. It provides a one-off evening never to be seen again and a unique opportunity to see work by some of the best international actors, writers and directors. The team comes together to create, rehearse and perform six short plays, all within an exhilarating rollercoaster ride of just 24 short hours, which begins on the evening of Saturday 10 November and ends in the performance of completely original theatre to a full house on Sunday 11 November at 7.30pm. The night finishes with The 25th Hour - a glittering post-show party at Plaza on the River.
