Rachael Stirling and Nicholas Burns to star in Love, Love, Love revival

The cast for the first London revival of Love, Love, Love at the Lyric Hammersmith has been named, ahead of performances from March 2020. The revival of Mike Bartlett's 2012 play will run for a limited engagement of four weeks and will be performed as part of Rachel O'Riordan's inaugural season as the Lyric Hammersmith's artistic director.

Kenneth will be played by Nicholas Burns, with Love, Love, Love marking his first return to the Lyric Hammersmith since appearing in the original cast of Ghost Stories. Burns has also starred in Measure for Measure at the Donmar Warehouse and Young Marx at the Bridge Theatre.

The two-time Olivier Award-nominated actress Rachael Stirling will play Sandra, who earned her Olivier nominations for performances in An Ideal Husband at the Vaudeville Theatre and The Priory at the Royal Court. On television, Stirling has starred in Wild Bill and The Bletchley Circle: San Francisco for ITV and Tipping the Velvet for BBC.

Patrick Knowles will play Henry's older brother, Kenneth, currently starring in Cinderella at the Vaults. Kenneth and Sandra's children will be played by Isabella Laughland and Mike Noble.  

About Love, Love, Love

First performed at the Royal Court in 2012, Mike Bartlett's Love, Love, Love follows the lives of Kenneth and Sandra from the 1960s to the present day. Building their lives together at a time of national prosperity, they're struggling to cope now their children have flown the nest and they're both retired. Love, Love, Love explores whether the future is better than the past as the couple decide how their lives have gone right and wrong.
