A new production of Stiles and Drewe's Olivier Award-winning Honk! the Musical has been announced to run at the Union Theatre in south London from 29 March to 22 April 2017, with an official opening on 1 April.

Produced by Dot By Dot Productions it will be directed by Andy Room with choreography by Lily Howkins and musical direction by Oli Rew.

Liam Vincent-Kilbride will make his London stage debut in the lead role of Ugly, alongside Ellie Nunn (Ida), Leon Scott (Drake), Sam Sugarman (Cat), Robert Pearce (Turkey / Jack Daw/ Bullfrog / Father Swan), Emily Goad (Maureen / Henrietta / Penny/ Lowbutt / Pinkfoot) and Emma-Jane Morton (Grace / Mother Swan / Queenie / Dot).

"This heart-warming re imagining of Hans Christian Andersen's The Ugly Duckling tells the story of Ugly, a plucky little bird who gets picked on by the other farmyard animals because he's different. Pushed out of the flock, he embarks on an adventure across the marsh, meeting an array of characters who teach him that it takes all sorts to make a world, and that he is much more than just his fowl looks."

Honk! originally ran in London at the National Theatre where it went on to beat The Lion King and Mamma Mia! to the Olivier Award for Best New Musical. It has since enjoyed over 8,000 productions around the world and returns to London in its 20th anniversary year.

George Stiles and Anthony Drewe are currently represented in the West End with the new revival of Half a Sixpence and the soon-to-be new musical The Wind in the Willows at the London Palladium.

Tickets for this new production of Honk! are now on sale.
