Shiv Roy is coming to the West End. Australian actor Sarah Snook, who recently completed an acclaimed run on "Succession," will make her return to the stage in The Picture of Dorian Gray, playing every character in the production. The Sydney Theatre Company production will start performances at the Theatre Royal Haymarket on 23 January 2024 and run through 13 April 2024.

“I am elated to return to the London stage in such an astonishing piece of theatre,” Snook said in a statement. “From Oscar Wilde’s remarkable original text to Kip Williams’s stunning adaptation, this story of morality, innocence, narcissism, and consequence is going to be thrilling to recreate for a new audience. I can’t wait.”

Adapted by Sydney Theatre Company artistic director Kip Williams, this reinvented one-performer production premiered at the Australian theatre in 2020. The UK premiere of the show will also be directed by Williams and is produced by Michael Cassel.

“I knew, from the very first time I saw The Picture of Dorian Gray, that it deserved a global audience,” Cassel said in a statement. “Kip Williams’s genius production is transformative, innovative, transfixing and entertaining and I am beyond excited that the inimitable Sarah Snook will star in this incredible production.”

Snook made her West End debut in 2016 in Matthew Warchus's production of The Master Builder, starring opposite Ralph Fiennes, and The Picture of Dorian Gray marks her second London stage outing.
