The Cause at the Jermyn Street Theatre

ACS Random in association with Jermyn Street Theatre present the world premiere of The Cause, by Jeremy James, at the Jermyn Street Theatre in central London from 1 to 26 March 2016.

The play, which is based on actual events, will be directed by Andrew Shepherd and has set design by Zahra Mansouri and lighting by Julian MacCready.

Synposis: "1963 Oxfordshire - an ageing heavily accented painter seeks the help of a psychoanalyst to look into the causes of his sudden partial paralysis which seems to have no physical origins. Memories of some forty years earlier transport him back to his homeland of the Balkans and Hungary of 1914, to his youthful political zealotry, to the fervour for independence, to a planned act of enormous international consequence and an actual act of grave personal cost."

ACS Random recent work includes 'The Knight From Nowhere/The Bells', 'Hamlet', 'Much Ado About Nothing' at Park Theatre and 'The Shakespeare Conspiracy', 'A Midsummer Night's Dream', 'Othello' at Chelsea Theatre.
