
'The Comedy About Spies' to return to the West End

The Comedy About Spies will return to the West End this summer, beginning performances at the Adelphi Theatre on 1 August and running through 26 September.
The comedy, which has been nominated for an Olivier Award for Best New Entertainment or Comedy Play, follows CIA and KGB spies as they converge on London’s Piccadilly Hotel in pursuit of an elusive file, which has been stolen by a rogue British agent.
Written by original Mischief members Henry Lewis and Henry Shields, the production is directed by Matt DiCarlo, with set design by David Farley, costume design by Deborah Andrews, movement direction by Shelley Maxwell, lighting design by Johanna Town, and sound design and composition by Jon Fiber.

In a review for LondonTheatre.co.uk, our critic said: "If you like Mischief’s previous work, you will love this. If you are new to their style, it’s a fabulous introduction."
This year, Mischief will also launch their first-ever musical, Thespians. With book and lyrics by Mischief creative director and original founding member Jonathan Sayer, the production will have music and lyrics by Ed Zanders and direction by Robyn Grant. The show opens at the Mercury, Colchester from May, followed by a short tour.
