A programme of work that started its life at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe will form the Other Palace's autumn season. The shows has been curated by Francesca Moody Productions, which is best known for originating Fleabag and Baby Reindeer.

Kicking off the season is Tim Crouch’s An Oak Tree, which will star Crouch and runs from 7 October - 15 November. The show, which has been performed in 19 countries, sees a guest artist take to the stage every night with Crouch, never having read or rehearsed the play. Second actor casting is to be announced.

Next up is Garry Starr: Classic Penguins, which follows the performer as he takes the audience on a journey through the world's most iconic works of fiction. Determined to save books from extinction, Starr performs every Penguin classic book every written. The show runs from 22 October to 3 January 2027.

From 19 November to 10 January 2027, Marcelo Dos Santos's Feeling Afraid As If Something Terrible Is Going To Happen will run at the venue, directed by Matthew Xia (The Harder They Come, Tambo & Bones). Starring Steven Webb (The History Boys, The Book of Mormon, Shucked), the show is described as a "compelling exploration of anxiety, intimacy and self-sabotage."

Producer Francesca Moody said: “This is an incredible opportunity to bring three extraordinary shows to London this Autumn/Winter and celebrate the breadth of brilliant new work that has begun its life on smaller stages at the Fringe. From the uproarious Garry Starr to the whip smart Feeling Afraid and the mind-bending theatrically of An Oak Tree, all three shows push the boundaries of great storytelling, united by a playful theatricality and led by three brilliant and singular performers.

"Through this season, FMP continues its commitment to bold new work.Fleabag and Baby Reindeer have proven that daring solo shows can transcend the festival environment and captivate the world. We are in the business of building modern classics and the opportunity to do that by sharing these shows with a wider audience is truly thrilling.”
