The Sound of Music Live starring Carrie Underwood will stream on 26 June

The 2013 broadcast also features True Blood Star Stephen Moyer and Tony winner Audra McDonald.

Get ready for the hills to come alive! The 2013 broadcast of The Sound of Music Live! will stream for 48 hours only beginning 26 June at 8PM BST on The Shows Must Go On! YouTube channel. Carrie Underwood stars in the Rodgers and Hammerstein classic as the young nun-turned-governess who takes care of the Von Trapp children, as she falls in love with their father Captain Von Trapp, played by True Blood star Stephen Moyer.

To create a truly live and communal viewing experience, Time Out and the Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization put together live viewing events at 8PM BST on 26 June, which you can follow along with on The Sound of Music's Twitter and Instagram channels and Time Out's Twitter and Instagram as well. Use the hashtag #SoundofMusic to participate. 

While the stream is completely free, donations to the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) are encouraged to support it. 

The Sound of Music Live! originally aired on NBC in 2013, and was produced by Oscar winners Craig Zadan and Neil Meron. Directed by Tony winner Rob Ashford and Emmy nominee Beth McCarthy-Miller, the musical is a cherished classic, featuring songs like "My Favourite Things," "Do-Re-Mi," and "Climb Ev'ry Mountain."
