The Trunk by Mike Carter at The Space

Savio(u)r and Crow Theatre present The Trunk by Mike Carter, directed by Tim Sullivan and Natasha Campbell, at The Space, a fringe venue in Isle of Dogs, east London, from 25 Feb to 1 March 2014.

Inspired by Chekhov's short stories, The Trunk paints a blackly comic portrait of our everyday introspections. It tells the story of five characters forced out of their routine by the peculiar, unexplained actions of an eccentric sixth. As their very human stories intertwine, love, duty, hope and regret collide and pose a very simple question - why do we need other people quite so much?
