The West End production of Thriller Live at the Lyric Theatre has announced an extension to 6 September 2015. The show has now sold over 3 million tickets worldwide and is currently in its sixth year in the West End.

The Michael Jackson musical originally opened in January 2009 at the Lyric Theatre, and has broken records for the longest running show at the venue.

Producers Paul Walden & Derek Nicol said in a statement: "We are thrilled that Thriller Live continues to be one of the longest running shows in the West End and its celebration of the music and iconic choreography of one of the world's greatest ever artists is continuing to attract new generations of theatregoers from around the world. We are looking forward to theming the theatre's bars for a ghoulish week celebrating all things Halloween and the show's iconic title track, Thriller..."

Thriller Live continues to play around the globe, in 28 countries from South Korea to Norway, Poland and South America to China. The latest world tour will take in Australia and New Zealand for the first time, after first touring the UK.

Thriller Live is directed and choreographed by Gary Lloyd, and is produced by Paul Walden and Derek Nicol for Flying Music in association with Adrian Grant for Key Concerts. It originally opened at the Lyric Theatre on 21 January 2009, following previews from 2 January and is currently booking until 6 September 2015.
