The play will explore London’s club culture and how it shaped queer artists today. “ Right now art and live art has a money problem, a crossroad to choose from - and I think cabaret artists are the most suited to interrogate these questions. I’m so excited to see what we all make together,” said Alabanza.

The eight-strong cast includes CHIYO, Lilly SnatchDragon, Ms Sharon Le Grand, Mwice Kavindele, Rhys Hollis, Sue Gives a F*ck, Tammy Reynolds, and Wet Mess.

Debbie Hannan co-creates and directs Sound of the Underground. The play features design by Rosie Elnile and Max Johns, lighting design by Simisola Majekodunmi, sound design by Alexandra Faye Braithwaite, and movement direction by Omar Jordan Phillips.
