A new video has been released of Glee star Amber Riley performing "I am Changing" from the upcoming production of Dreamgirls at the Savoy Theatre, which begins performances on 19 November 2016.

The video includes a short chat with director and choreographer Casey Nicholaw who is leading the production having recently opened the West End premiere of Aladdin.

The West End production of Dreamgirls features music by Henry Krieger and lyrics and book by Tom Eyen and is based upon the rise of music acts such as 'The Supremes' and 'The Shirelles'. It follows the story of a young female singing trio from Chicago, Illinois called "The Dreams", who go on to become music superstars. Along with "I am Changing", the score features hit songs such as "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going", "Listen" and "One Night Only".

Amber Riley stars as Effie White, alongside Tyrone Huntley as C.C White, Adam J Bernard as Jimmy, Nicholas Bailey as Marty Joe Aaron Reid as Curtis Taylor Jnr, Liisi LaFontaine as Deena and Ibinabo Jack as Lorrell.

We recently spoke to Ms Riley in an exclusive interview to hear more about the show and the exciting role:

"I love this musical, and singing the songs from it, but I didn't think I would get the opportunity to perform in it myself. After they did the movie, and it was so massive I thought I might have missed my chance. That it is going to be here in London, for the first time, is pretty epic and I can't wait!"
